Welcome to Choice Caster, my brand new (and very first) blog about cars. A little bit about me, I am a mechanic that works on high end cars (mostly BMWs) for private clients. I would say that my greatest achievement is making more money than my sister who elected to go to university and get a completely useless degree in philosophy and is now working at a coffee shop.
But moreover you may be a little curious about the name of the blog if you’re not a totally car junkie. There are a lot of clever things in cars, the mechanics and everything else, but the one thing that is totally simple but I would say rates in my books above all others is the caster. Which in layman’s terms is pretty much just the tilt of the car’s front wheels, it can go forward or backward, but when everything is lined up it will make everything follow in a naturally straight line. This is how the car can go straight again after you take a corner, and if this is out, then you are going to have one hell of a time steering. It’s why you have such trouble if you hit a curb a little too hard.
Anyways, very cool. The blog however is really just a chance for me to write about the things I love, cars and engines. Hopefully people out there will be able to pick up a few tips along the way!
